Ho'oulu Homeschool Enrichment Program
The Kapena School of Music and Creative Expression Ho’oulu Homeschool Enrichment Program is a culturally grounded fine arts enrichment program serving homeschooled students in grades K–6 on the east side of Oʻahu. Held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Kapena School of Music in Windward Mall, the program provides structured arts instruction, hands-on cultural activities, cooking experiences, educational field trips, leadership development and community outreach events for homeschooled children in Hawaiʻi. Students will also participate in seasonal projects, creative enrichment activities, picture day, expression days, school dances and the beloved tradition of May Day in Hawaii - celebrating the Hawaiian culture, music, and hula.

MORNING ‘OLI
Our Kapena School of Music ‘Oli will be sung at the beginning of our day. This ‘oli speaks about the legacy of our future generations.
MUSIC LAB
An overview of musical theory, instruments and singing to build confidence, creativity, coordination and a positive way to express themselves.
CULTURAL ARTS
Learning the importance of Hawaiian values, culture and preparation of our May Day Program.
PRACTICAL LIVING WORKSHOP
This workshop will teach our keiki every day skills, including sewing, cooking and crafting.
Community & Experiences
Field Trips
Our keiki will participate in regular field trips that reinforce the lessons they learn in our program, giving them meaningful hands-on experiences that bring learning to life.
Community Outreaches
Participating in community outreach projects will also help our keiki grow in compassion and service while making a positive impact on others.
Performance Showcases
Our keiki will share their growth through singing and dance, building confidence and joy on stage. Highlights include May Day, where they celebrate Hawaiian culture through hula, music and the spirit of aloha.
Picture &
Expression Days
Our keiki will enjoy special picture days and themed dress-up days that celebrate creativity, confidence, and individuality. From big smiles to fun outfits, these joyful moments create lasting memories and give our students opportunities to express who they are.
Where Keiki Grow & Flourish
Spaces are limited to ensure each student receives individualized attention and a high-quality learning experience.
